Rabbi

Rabbi Eddie Shostak has served as the Rabbi of Or Chaim Minyan since 2023.  He also serves as Menahel of Yeshivat Or Chaim. Born and raised in Montreal, over the past 20+ years his communal involvement has spanned the spectrum of the Jewish community in Montreal and  Toronto as rabbi, teacher, non-profit professional and school administrator.

Rabbi Shostak holds degrees from McGill University, received semicha from Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz of Chicago, and is a graduate of the Day School Leadership Training Institute (DSLTI), Harvard’s Principals’ Center Summer Institute, and Federation CJA Passport to Jewish Life Fellowship.  He is a member of the inaugural cohort of the Rabbi Sakcs Scholars Program.
